​​Thank you for your interest in the Friends of Moraine Hills Environmental Studies/Natural Science Scholarships.  We are excited to assist you in your journey  to study and protect the natural world.  Applications will be accepted from February 1 through April 30.

 

Required Application Packet Contents:

1. The Application Form filled out completely.

2. At least one signed Letter of Recommendation from a non-relative, who is familiar with your goals and aptitude.  Letters of Recommendation may be submitted by your reference using the Recommendations button below or by email to friendsofmorainehills@gmail.com.

3. A one page (300-400 word) typed essay using 12 point font.  Address your goals and motivation for choosing an environmental studies and/or natural science career.  Include your thoughts regarding environmental issues and related experiences.  Describe your attributes that help you be successful.  The essay must be the sole work of the applicant without the use of AI tools.

4. Official current school transcripts reflecting your GPA of 3.0 or higher.  They must be in a school-sealed separate envelope if mailed (Scholarship Committee, FOMHSP, 1510 S. River Rd., McHenry, IL 60051).  They may also be received at friendsofmorainehills@gmail.com directly from the school, or through Parchment.

5. Applications and all required documentation must be received by April 30.
