Bird Walks
 
Join us for a bird walk! These adventures are for both novice birders, and for those more seasoned. Our walk times are listed below, and cover 2 -3 miles over a variety of habitats. Depending on what we see, we are out for 2 to 3 hours. Our expert guides are dedicated bird watchers who know the parks.  Please bring binoculars if you have them.

Normally, the scheduled bird walks are held twice each month, spring through fall at the McHenry Dam Day Use Area, Chain O'Lakes State Park and Volo Bog. Winter walks are usually held once each month.

Dates can change, and more may be added, so check with us first!  Registration is requested by visiting our Eventbrite page. The walks are free of charge.
