Friends of Moraine Hills Wins Grant from MHCC
This year marks McHenry County Community Foundation's 15th year as a non-for-profit whose mission it is to encourage philanthropy and to welcome partnerships to create a positive difference in the quality of life in all of McHenry County. Through an annual grant process, they match donated funds to county organizations for projects that ultimately enhance our community.

On March 24 Executive Director Robin Doeden welcomed the attending 2016 grant recipients in the Arts, Education, Environment and Economic Opportunity categories. FOMHSP was a awarded $8,000 for part 1 of a two year restoration project at Osprey Meadows in Moraine Hills State Park. There were 47 "finalists" proposals that were reviewed and ours was one of the 28 projects that was approved. A total of $250,000 was granted.
Representing FOMHSP at the celebration breakfast were Stacy Iwanicki, Neil Whitman and Judy Wooderson. Two pivotal members of the grant committee who were unable to attend but whom we wish to recognize for their primary roles in the grant work-up and proposal, are Dave Albright and Greg Kelly.
