Olbrich Botanical Gardens
A tour of the Olbrich Botanical Gardens and Bolz
Conservatory was made by Members of both FOVB & FOMHSP on Sunday, October
11, 2009. We had Neil Whitman representing the FOMH Board of Directors, Trisha
Steele from the FOVB Board of Directors, Bob Vetter from both Boards, plus FOVB
members Jane Casty , Gail & Larry Smith . It was a beautiful day for all to enjoy.
We went to see the special exhibit on carnivorous plants, which will be
going only until January 2010

Cedarburg Bog Trip
On October 23rd a FOVB & FOMHSP membership only trip was made to Wisconsin’s Cedarburg Bog, The bog is the Southern most string bog in North America Featured are stands of Tamarack Trees, Stunted Cedars alternating with Sedge Meadows & Bog Lakes. The following eight members attended this trip: Julia & Nina Denne, Jerry Donahue, Pat Henschen, Stacy Iwanicki, Cathy Nestor, Ann Shanks, and Neil Whitman.
